Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Theft: A screw gun and an 18-volt battery charger, all valued at nearly $700, were stolen from the front steps of a house being built in the 3000 block of Southland Ave.

Theft: A videocassette recorder valued at more than $300 was stolen Wednesday from a trailer parked in the 2700 block of Annapolis Road.

Central District

Theft: Lumber valued at nearly $700 was stolen from the rear yard of a house in the 2100 block of Bolton St. between May 17 and Wednesday.

Burglary: A cellular phone and cash, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 300 block of McMechen St.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Several watches and cash, all valued at nearly $800, were stolen Wednesday from The Admiral Tee, a store in the 800 block of S. Broadway. The thief entered through a side window.

Northwestern District

Robbery/arrest: A man pushed a boy, 14, to the ground about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 4200 block of Park Heights Ave. and robbed him of his bicycle. Officer Kent Martin was driving the victim in the 3700 block of Towanda Ave., where the boy pointed to a male who was riding the stolen bike. Donte Lockwood, 19, of the first block of Upmanor Road was arrested and charged with robbery.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a woman, 61, of her purse containing $43 about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 4300 block of Reisterstown Road.

Southwestern District

Theft: A laptop computer valued at more than $1,500 was stolen Wednesday from International Book Bank in the 2200 block of Eagle St.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Rape attempt: A woman jogger, 27, was resting near Dolfield Road and Red Run Boulevard near Owings Mills Town Center about 6 a.m. Wednesday when a man with a knife tried to rape her. The man fled when she cried out.

Robbery: A woman was placing her daughter into her car in the 2800 block of South Ave. about 2 p.m. Wednesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at nearly $300.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Lawn-care equipment and supplies, all valued at nearly $450, were stolen Wednesday from a shed in the 900 block of Arran Road.

Burglary: Two 35mm cameras, camera lenses, a light meter and a camera bag were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 8000 block of York Road. The thief entered through a bedroom window.
