Group that rescues neglected horses will hold open house

Day's End Farm Horse Rescue, 15856 Frederick Road, Lisbon, will hold its open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24. The day's events will include horse and pony rides, a petting zoo, a $500 raffle, face-painting and children's games.

The Day's End Farm, a nonprofit organization, cares for neglected and abused horses and ponies. The farm provides rehabilitation, humane education and community outreach.

Admission is $5 per family; $2 adults; $1 children ages 7 to 12; free for children younger than 6.
