Bowie 4, Binghamton 2: The visiting Baysox (25-18) scored three runs in the first inning and held on to beat the Mets (22-15), who dropped back-to-back games this season. It also put them into a first-place tie in the Northern Division with the New Haven Ravens.

The Baysox sent nine men to the plate in the first inning and picked up runs on three consecutive hits by David Gibralter, Roberto Rivera and Luis Matos.

Bowie grabbed a 4-1 lead on an RBI triple by Darnell McDonald in the eighth inning.

Single-A Carolina League

Salem 1, Frederick 0

Single-A S. Atlantic League

Delmarva 5, Macon 3: Napolean Calzado's two-run single capped a five-run seventh inning as the host Shorebirds defeated the Braves.

The Shorebirds (22-22) also took advantage of two Macon errors during the big inning. Macon (20-25) struck first on a two-run homer by Jaeme Leal in the fourth inning.

But Delmarva starter Billy Whitecotton (1-0) held the Braves in check, allowing just four hits until the bullpen took over in the eighth inning.
