Two fatally shot in separate incidents during weekend

Two people, including a 16-year-old boy, were killed in separate shootings during the weekend in Baltimore.

The teen-ager was shot numerous times about 11: 30 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Maryland Ave. in midtown and was pronounced dead at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said. His identity was being withheld until his relatives were notified.

Early Saturday, Trinell Shelton, 22, of the 1700 block of N. Chapel St. in East Baltimore was shot to death in the 1800 block of N. Washington St., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 2 a.m.

Police had no suspects and knew of no motives.
