Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Robbery: A motorist was in the 3700 block of W. Bay Ave. about 2: 30 p.m. Tuesday when one of several males shot a water pistol at him. The man left his car, and while he scuffled with the youths, a cellular phone, valued at more than $70, was stolen from his car.

Arson: While the owner of a 1987 Dodge pickup truck was doing yard work about 2: 20 p.m. Tuesday at a house in the 2800 block of Round Road in Cherry Hill, someone set fire to the interior of the truck. Damage was set at more than $1,000.

Northwestern District

Burglary: A cellular phone and jewelry, all valued at more than $700, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2800 block of Boarman Ave. Occupants suspect a homeless man they had allowed to stay there.

Southwestern District

Rape: A woman, 24, was in the 2800 block of Brighton St. about 9 a.m. Tuesday when a man with a knife forced her to the ground and raped her. She was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

Eastern District

Cutting: A woman, 18, cut another woman on the right ear and left forearm with a knife during an argument about 7: 40 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Barclay St. The victim, 35, was treated at Maryland General Hospital.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Kidnapping: An Elkridge man, 24, driving back to his Towson office, was stopped in the 500 block of E. Joppa Road about 9: 30 a.m. Tuesday when a gunman forced his way into the car and ordered to be driven to the Richmond, Va., airport. At Mechanicsville, Va., about 5 miles northeast of Richmond, the gunman fled from the car. The victim was not robbed or injured. He reported the incident to police when he got back to Towson about 12: 30 p.m.

Suspect sought: Anthony Curtis Weddington, 41, of the 3500 block of Reisterstown Road has been charged in a warrant with first-degree murder and robbery in the death of Nadine Hill Feb. 25. The victim, 41, was found shot to death in an alley near her home in the 2300 block of Linden Ave. in Reservoir Hill. Detective Marvin Sydnor said Hill was shot in her apartment and dragged into the alley.
