Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival

Enjoy traditional and contemporary bluegrass today through Sunday at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival in Gettysburg, Pa. The festival will feature a special appearance by Riders in the Sky Saturday. The group will perform humorous songs and a special presentation for kids called "The Cowboy Way!" Headlining the four-day outdoor event is the Del McCoury Band. Other performers include Ralph Stanley III, Tyme Out, the Country Gentlemen, Blue Highway. Also featured will be workshops, food, crafts and battlefield tours.

The festival takes place from 8 a.m. to midnight today through Sunday at Granite Hill Campgrounds, Route 116, Gettysburg, Pa. Admission is $17-$80. Call 800-642-TENT or visit www.gettysburgbluegrass.com.

Mid-Atlantic Maritime Festival

Celebrate the Chesapeake Bay this weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Maritime Festival in St. Michaels. On display will be historic vessels, ship models, maritime paintings and photographic exhibits. Activities include racing of radio-controlled ship models, demonstrations of saltwater fly-fishing and a boat auction. The U.S. Coast Guard also will display the 58-foot Independent Marine Assistance Response Vessel.

The festival runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, Mill Street, St. Michaels. $7.50, $3 children ages 6-17; free museum members and children and under 5; three-day passes are $10, $4 for children. Call 410-745-2916.
