Architect to offer makeovers to six Main Street firms

May 16, 2000

Architect Richard Wagner will visit Westminster Friday May 19 to do schematic designs for six Main Street businesses.

The Main Street program is a national effort dedicated to revitalizing traditional downtown and commercial areas. Wagner's services are provided by Main Street Maryland. The city will work with him from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, with an hour break for lunch.

Wagner will meet with the buildings' owners or businesses to discuss changes they would like to make. About two weeks after the visit, Wagner will send drawings of any proposed changes with cost estimates and any other necessary information.

Any Main Street businesses interested in this project should call Don Hammond, coordinator, at 410-751-5505.
