Keough concedes to Spalding

May 12, 2000|By Glenn P. Graham

Seton Keough conceded its final three outs of Wednesday's Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference Tournament semifinal against Spalding, thus awarding the top-ranked Cavaliers a 5-0 win in a game called after six innings due to lightning and rain at Randazzo Park.

The visiting Gators originally wanted to return to Randazzo Park yesterday afternoon to play the final inning, but Seton Keough athletic director Jim Stromberg decided otherwise late Wednesday night.

The Cavaliers (22-0) advance to the championship game set for 4 p.m. tomorrow at Towson University, where they will meet Mount de Sales.
