Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Shooting: A man stepped from the porch of a house in the 3400 block of Paton Ave. in Pimlico about 11: 20 p.m. Monday and shot a male pedestrian, 28, in the left leg. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Eastern District

Robbery/arrest: A girl, 11, walking home from school was in the 2700 block of E. Oliver St. about 2: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a man knocked her to the ground, struck her in the face and stole her book bag containing books and school supplies. A short time later, Tavon Brown, 21, of the 1500 block of N. Luzerne Ave. was arrested and charged with assault and theft and was processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Shooting: A man, 25, and two women were in the 2400 block of E. Chase St. about noon Tuesday when two gunmen exited a gold-colored car and robbed them of cash and property, all valued at more than $1,000. One gunman dropped his weapon and it discharged, grazing the male victim in the left leg. He was treated at the scene.

Robbery: A man, 67, was in a restroom at Kennedy Krieger Institute in the 700 block of N. Broadway about 11 a.m. Tuesday when another man robbed him of his wallet containing $35, credit cards and personal papers.

Burglary: Beverages, water, money, meats, candy and an electric fryer, all valued at nearly $1,400, were stolen Tuesday from Linda's Soul Food restaurant in the 2100 block of McElderry St. The thief entered through a second-floor window.

Western District

Church burglary: A stained-glass window valued at $1,000 was stolen yesterday from an interior stairway at Metropolitan United Methodist Church in the 1100 block of W. Lanvale St. Two men were seen driving away in a gray Ford pickup truck.

Southwestern District

Theft: A 20-gauge Mossberg shotgun was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3400 block of W. Caton Ave.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Stolen car: A teacher's keys were stolen Tuesday from a classroom at Parkville High School in the 2600 block of Putty Hill Ave. The thief then stole the teacher's green 1999 Subaru Outback station wagon with tags ELW 105 that was parked on the school parking lot.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Gold jewelry and cash, all valued at more than $3,400, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1200 block of Berans Road.

For the record

Victim identified: Janice Lucas, 47, was identified yesterday as the woman found dead Tuesday in a field behind Malcolm X Elementary School in the 2800 block of Shirley Ave. Lucas of the 2900 block of Grantley Road died from blunt-force trauma to the head.
