The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

Clarksville

Broadwater Lane: 5500 block. Someone entered a dwelling between 10 p.m. April 27 and 10 a.m. Saturday, ransacked the home and cut the tires on the victim's vehicle.

East Columbia

Old Annapolis Road: 8700 block, Long Reach. Someone pried open the door of a storage room in Howard High School's auditorium at 8: 47 a.m. April 25, knocked out ceiling tiles, wrote on the wall and damaged desks.

West Columbia

April Journey: 5600 block, Dorsey's Search. Someone entered a home by prying a rear window open between 5: 30 a.m. and 8: 15 p.m. April 24 and took jewelry, stereo equipment, coins and a camera.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Brookdale Drive: 7000 block, Dorsey. Someone pried open a door that covered a water overflow vent and entered businesses between noon and 2 p.m. April 24 and took two computers.

Wharff Lane: 4800 block. Someone entered a home through an unlocked window between 6: 40 a.m. and 5: 30 p.m. April 25 and took camera equipment, stereo speakers and a box of coins.

Montgomery Road: 4200 block. Someone cut the rear fence of the Maryland Army National Guard about 9: 20 a.m. April 25 and tampered with several vehicles.

Brightmeadow Court: 7900 block. Someone entered a home between 9 a.m. and 4: 50 p.m. Wednesday and took jewelry, cash and a boombox.

North Laurel

Squires Court: 9400 block. Someone entered a home through a rear basement window between 6: 30 p.m. April 20 and 9 a.m. April 24 and stole stereo equipment, a television, a videocassette recorder and jewelry.
