New positions

Northrop appoints Martin as marketing director

Northrop Grumman Corp. appointed James J. Martin as director of marketing and business development for its Linthicum-based Electronic Sensors and Systems Sector. He will be responsible for congressional liaison, development and direction of marketing strategies and support. A former Air Force officer and flight instructor, he is a licensed airline pilot. A mathematics master's graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, he joined the company in 1982.

Ditto to direct Chamber in Reisterstown area

Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon Chamber of Commerce appointed Brian Ditto as executive director. He will be responsible for daily management, strategic planning, membership services and fis-cal and volunteer committee management. The former editor for Landmark Community Newspapers is a Reisterstown resident and graduate of Western Maryland College. He is active in the Reisterstown United Methodist Church and with the Hathaway-Fox Haven Community Association.

Debra Miller to direct new business for Reeves

The Reeves Agency appointed Debra M. Miller as director of new business development for the Baltimore-based advertising and marketing communications firm. Formerly with Three West Casting and Baltimore Magazine, she is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Walston named V.P. at Crosby in Annapolis

Crosby Marketing Communications promoted Mark Walston to vice president of creative services for the Annapolis-based agency. A resident of Olney, the University of Maryland graduate oversees the agency's 10-person creative department. Walston, a 20-year industry veteran, joined Crosby in 1997 as chief copywriter.
