A senior left-hander, Swiech no-hit one of the metro area's top hitting clubs in fifth-ranked Severna Park, 9-0, on Saturday in the Falcons' round-robin tournament. Swiech (4-2) had total command of his fastball, curve and changeup in keeping the Falcons off balance. Coach Matt Forsyth of the No. 6 Vikings said Swiech had "nasty stuff" in allowing only two runners, both on walks, and striking out six, Swiech was 5-3 as a junior and his pitching has the Vikings in the thick of things with four other teams in the Howard County race.
