Red Sox: Pete Schourek scattered six hits over seven innings as Bos-ton beat the Tigers on Tuesday, 7-0.

White Sox: The start of yesterday's game was delayed 58 minutes by rain. But after Mariners leadoff Mark McLemore was thrown out on a bunt, umpires waved the teams off three minutes into the game when it started raining hard-er. Before the field could be cov-ered, the second delay lasted just 11 minutes and the game resumed. The announced crowd was 8,425, but there were only about 1,000 people in the stands .... Greg Nor-ton drove in four runs, and Chris Singleton had four hits and four RBIs as Chicago beat Seattle on Tuesday, 18-11.
