* Preparation time: Thaw in refrigerator for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours

* Review: The girls who bagged my groceries treated these pies with rare deference, gingerly sliding them into a paper bag (rather than those hard-to-hold-onto plastic ones) and making sure they stayed face up and flat. I'm happy to say such care is warranted. The Authentic Key Lime offered just the right edge of tartness (though I'd lose the "whipped cream" that tops the pie because it's a bit too artificial for my taste). The French Silk Chocolate was all creamy chocolate confection with a whipped-cream topping that worked well in this case. Both pies were dessert at its finest. But I guess that's to be expected from pies that were both first-place winners in the American Pie Council's annual National Pie Championships.
