Twins update Twins statistics

This three-game series serves as a study in contrasts. The Twins' oldest player is 33-year-old Bob Wells, while the Orioles' starting lineup averages nearly 35 years. The Twins have an $18 million payroll, minimal expectations and embarrassing attendance. They also are 3-8 with a 6.87 ERA. Starters have barely lasted five innings a game, and the bullpen has surrendered nine home runs in 35 innings. Tom Kelly's clubs are usually fundamentally sound, but these Twins enter having committed errors in their past seven games before last night, and Sean Bergman, Brad Radke and Julio Santana yesterday found themselves among the league's top five in hits allowed. The Orioles, 70-83 against the rest of the league, enjoyed 8-1 success last season against the Twins, including a 3-0 record in Minneapolis.
