Montgomery County police identified yesterday two teen-agers who died Saturday night in a traffic accident as Michael Robert Zajdel, 16, and Keith Allen Smith, 17, both of Poolesville.

Zajdel was driving a 1999 Hyundai Elantra east on Route 107 near Poolesville when the car slid sideways over the center line and collided with a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, police said. Zajdel and Smith, who was a passenger in the Elantra, died at the scene.

The driver of the Cherokee, Michael Hercules Theodoulou, 36, of Poolesville, was taken to Suburban Hospital Healthcare System in Bethesda, where he was treated and released, police and hospital officials said. The accident is being investigated.
