Q. I have an excellent use for Vicks VapoRub: mosquito bites! It not only stops the itch right away, but the bite disappears.

A. Thanks for the tip. We can't believe all the different uses people have for Vicks VapoRub. This old-time chest rub contains essential oils such as camphor, menthol, eucalyptus oil, cedarleaf oil, nutmeg oil, petrolatum, thymol and turpentine oil. We don't know which of these might be helpful for mosquito bites.

You can read about other uses for Vicks VapoRub at www.peoplespharmacy.com. People have praised Vicks for nail fungus, canker sores, paper cuts and dandruff.
