Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Shooting: A woman, 40, was in the 2600 block of Orleans St. about 1 a.m. yesterday when someone shot her in the right side with a shotgun. The East Baltimore resident was in serious but stable condition last night at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Police knew of no motive for the shooting.

Robbery: A woman, 70, was about to enter her car in the 3600 block of Claremont Ave. about 6 p.m. Monday when a man shoved her and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $30.

Robbery: A woman was in the 500 block of N. Decker St. about 8: 20 p.m. Monday when a man grabbed her around the neck and stole her purse containing $42.

Eastern District

Shooting: A male, 18, was in the 1500 block of N. Bond St. about 4 p.m. Tuesday when someone shot him in the right leg. He was in good condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Burglary: Two videocassette recorders, 40 videotapes, 30 compact discs, cash and shoes, all valued at more than $1,400, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 600 block of Gutman Ave.

Robbery: A man, 37, was about to withdraw money from a bank automated teller machine in the 2100 block of E. Monument St. about 9: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a man armed with a stick and knife grabbed the ATM card. The victim fled. The robber tried to withdraw money but failed because he did not know the personal identification number.

Assault: A man and woman were arguing over money in the 1800 block of E. Eager St. about noon Tuesday when the man struck her in the face with a piece of wood. The woman refused medical treatment. No arrest was made.

Northern District

Burglary: Computer equipment valued at $1,200 was stolen Tuesday from an office at Sears Service Center in the 1700 block of W. 41st St.

Theft: A cellular telephone valued at $150 was stolen Tuesday from a 1992 Mitsubishi parked in the 2100 block of Morton St.

Stolen car: A 1990 Honda with tags XZV 602 was stolen Tuesday in the 100 block of W. Cold Spring Lane.

Stolen car: A 1991 Infiniti with tags GKJ 604 was stolen Tuesday in the 2500 block of W. Cold Spring Lane.

Burglary: A 20-inch mountain bike of unknown value was stolen Tuesday from the front porch of a house in the 1100 block of Sherwood Ave.

Central District

Stolen vehicle: A maroon 1997 Mercury minivan with tags M484258 was stolen Tuesday in the first block of South St.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A blue 1992 Dodge Caravan with tags 22857M was stolen Monday in the 700 block of Stanford Road.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A man, 36, was seated in his car and drinking coffee in the rear of the 7-Eleven store in the 3800 block of Marriottsville Road about 7: 20 a.m. Tuesday when a man with a gun robbed him of $30. As the robber, who wore a dark-colored ski mask, fled into nearby woods, he fired a shot into the ground.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered China Wok Carryout in the 6300 block of York Road early Tuesday and removed $100 from a cash box.

North Point Precinct

Theft: Power and hand tools valued at $2,000 were stolen March 24 from a 1992 Chevrolet van parked in the 900 block of Merritt Blvd. The theft was reported Saturday.

Gun theft: Between Oct. 4 and March 4, a .22-caliber revolver with serial No. 4M19524 -- valued at nearly $70 -- was stolen from a house in the 100 block of Bayside Drive. The theft was reported Tuesday.

Theft: Computer equipment valued at nearly $3,000 was stolen from Dundalk Elementary School in the 2700 block of Playfield St. between March 29 and Monday.

Vandalism: The rear window of a 1991 Acura Legend parked in the 7600 block of North Point Road was shattered Tuesday. Damage was estimated at $600.
