Howell and Barb elected to multiple listing system board

The Metropolitan Regional Information Systems Inc., the multiple listing system used by the housing industry, announced that David L. Howell and James E. Barb have been elected to its board of directors.

The two replace Ramsey W. J. Flynn of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn ERA and William H. Laughlin of Fine Homes & Estates.

Howell is the managing broker for the McLean, Va., office of McEnerney Associates Inc. He previously served on the MRIS board of directors from 1994 to 1997 and was president from 1996 to 1997.

Barb is president of ERA Jim Barb Realty Inc. in Winchester and Berryville, Va. He has served on the board of directors of the Dulles Area Association of Realtors since 1997.
