State housing official to speak at Taneytown Business Breakfast

The Taneytown Business Breakfasts are held monthly at 7: 30 a.m. at Thunderhead Bowling Center.

The next breakfast will be held April 7 and feature Marge Wolfe, deputy secretary of the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.

On May 5, Richard N. Dixon, state treasurer, will be the guest.

The group's breakfast and business expo will be held June 16 at Northwest Middle School in Taneytown. Mike Lewin from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development will be the guest. After breakfast, the expo will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Anyone interested in being a vendor at the expo can call the city office at 410-751-1100 for an application. Spaces are $30.


Pleasant Valley: Firefighters responded at 10: 13 p.m. Wednesday to a brush fire in the 2600 block of Baumgardner Road. Units were out 30 minutes.
