Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Shooting/arrest: After an unlicensed taxi driver brought a fare to the 1800 block of N. Fulton Ave. about 11: 35 p.m. Wednesday, the fare pulled a handgun and shot him in the right arm and right leg for no apparent reason. Moments later, a suspect was arrested near the shooting scene and was being held pending charges. The victim was in fair condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Shooting: A boy, 15, was walking toward a crowd at North Monroe Street and West Lafayette Avenue about 7: 30 p.m. Wednesday when someone in the crowd fired several shots, hitting him at least once in the stomach. He was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police believe he was not a target.

Southeastern District

Arrest: Ramone Antonio Lopez, 20, of the first block of N. Rose St. was arrested Wednesday in the 2700 block of E. Baltimore St. and charged with attempting to steal a 1984 Dodge van.

Arrests: Diane Leberman, 46, and Jennifer Kennedy, 25, both of the 3200 block of Leverton Ave., were arrested Wednesday and charged with shoplifting $125 worth of items from Santoni's Markets in the 3800 block of E. Lombard St.

Eastern District

Shooting: A boy, 16, was leaving a friend's house in the 1800 block of N. Montford Ave. about 7: 30 p.m. Wednesday when an unknown gunman shot him in the stomach and an arm. He was in good condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Theft: Two bowling balls, jewelry, a wallet containing credit cards and other property were stolen Tuesday from a 1999 Nissan Maxima parked in the 600 block of E. Eager St. The loss was valued at nearly $1,500.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct:

Robbery: A gunman robbed Mattress Warehouse in the 500 block of Winters Lane of an undisclosed sum of money about 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A silver 2000 Toyota Corolla with tags BLZ 259 was stolen Wednesday from R & H Toyota in the 9700 block of Reisterstown Road.

Stolen car: A white 1998 Mercedes Benz with tags 477 AWL and valued at $80,000 was stolen Wednesday from the first block of Merryhill Court.

For the record

Arrests: Aubrey Wood, 20, of the 8100 block of Jacob Field Road in White Marsh, Baltimore County, and Rashaad Gilkesson, 18, of the first block of Elbank Ave. in the city, were arrested yesterday on warrants charging them with first-degree murder in a shooting March 7 of Leonard K. Kling Jr., 23, of the 400 block of S. Taylor Ave., Essex. Kling was found fatally shot in his car in the 1100 block of E. Belvedere Ave. Police said robbery appeared to be the motive. Wood and Gilkesson were being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.
