Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 50, was walking in the 1900 block of E. Oliver St. about 4 p.m. yesterday when another man brandished a semiautomatic handgun and shot him twice in the lower body and fled. Detective Michael Baier said the victim, who lives in East Baltimore, was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery: A woman, 44, was in the 1000 block of E. Hoffman St. about 1: 30 p.m. Monday when she was assaulted by a man and another woman and robbed of a purse containing nearly $60. She suffered minor injuries and was treated at Union Memorial Hospital.

Northeastern District

Robbery try/shots fired: Two men tried to rob a liquor store yesterday but fled when the store owner shot at them. The men, one with a handgun, entered Hamilton Qwik Stop in the 3400 block of Hamilton Ave. about 4: 20 p.m. and demanded money. The gunman shot at the owner, who got his handgun and fired at the two men. The men fled without any money.

Central District

Drug arrests: After a lengthy surveillance, members of the district's drug enforcement unit raided an apartment in the 800 block of Park Ave. about 5: 30 p.m. yesterday, arrested two men and seized a small quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Sgt. Phil Pack said Michael Spencer, 44, and Stanley Hall, 43, who live in the apartment, were charged with possession of cocaine.

Southeastern District

Robbery/arrests: A man, 19, was in the first block of S. Chester St. about 3 a.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of nearly $100 and drove off in a car. Near the robbery scene, Officer Maggie Duffy saw the car as its two occupants got out of it. Duffy arrested one, and other police officers arrested a second suspect nearby. Robert Myers, 45, of the 3600 block of Eastern Ave. and Perry Black, 41, of the 700 block of Kenwood Ave. were charged with armed robbery. A pellet pistol believed used in the robbery was recovered.

Southwestern District

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer, computer software, clothing, shoes, a gym bag and a basketball, all valued at nearly $3,000, were stolen Tuesday from a car parked in the 2100 block of W. Pratt St.

Western District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man, 67, of $300 about 2: 30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of N. Gilmor St.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct:

Burglary: A 1996 Polaris all-terrain vehicle valued at $6,000 was stolen early Tuesday from a shed in the 13200 block of Fork Road in Baldwin. The vehicle apparently was pushed across the lawn and driven away in a pickup truck.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Tools and a deer skull, all valued at nearly $400, were stolen Sunday from the rear deck of Troyer's Liquors in the 17000 block of York Road in Parkton.
