Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Burglary: Someone broke into Torino's Carry-Out in the 1500 block of Harford Ave. about 4 a.m. yesterday and stole hamburger meat and soft drinks.

Stolen auto: A 1989 Nissan was stolen about 3 a.m. yesterday in the 700 block of N. Streeper St.

Shooting: An 18-year-old man was shot in the stomach about 3: 25 a.m. yesterday in the 1300 block of N. Washington St. as he stood by a pay phone. His condition was unknown last night.

Aggravated assault: A 39-year-old man was beaten on the head by a man with a gun about 9: 45 a.m. yesterday in the 1600 block of Montford Ave.

Stolen auto: A 1992 Dodge was stolen about 5 a.m. yesterday in the 1300 block of N. Lakewood Ave.

Southwestern District

Stolen auto: A 1995 Dodge van was stolen about 6: 40 a.m. yesterday in the 3600 block of Eversley St.

Burglary: Someone broke into a home about 1: 30 p.m. yesterday in the 3700 block of Gelston Drive but nothing was taken.
