Duke tops Georgetown late, 13-12

Chris Hartofilis fed his brother, Nick, for the game-winning goal with 2: 38 left as No. 10 Duke handed No. 3 Georgetown its first loss, 13-12, in a men's lacrosse game yesterday in Durham, N.C.

Duke (5-2) scored the first four goals of the game over a nine-minute span, including two by Greg Patchak (Timonium).

Georgetown (6-1) went on a 5-2 scoring run in the third quarter to knot the score at 7-7, and the teams traded three goals each in the third quarter.

No. 12 Hofstra 8, No. 13 Notre Dame 7: Joe Kostolansky scored three goals as the visiting Flying Dutchmen (2-3) ended a three-game losing streak. The Fighting Irish fell to 3-3.

Mount St. Mary's 11, Marist 5: Brian Cox scored four goals to power the Mount (6-3, 3-0) past the host Red Foxes (2-2, 1-1) in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
