Winner of Newbery Award to speak at public library

TOWSON -- Newbery Award-winning author Patricia Reilly Giff, author of more than 60 books for children, will speak at the Towson public library branch at 7 p.m. April 4 for the library's Newbery celebration.

Her award-winning book "Lilly's Crossing," takes place in summer 1944 in Rockaway Beach, N.Y., and is about her friendship with a young Hungarian refugee.
