Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Theft from a vehicle: Someone broke into a 2000 Nissan between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. yesterday in the 300 block of W. Madison St. The back window was broken, and several compact discs and office supplies were taken. The loss was valued at $525.

Eastern District

Burglary: Someone pried a door open at Mirable Construction Co. in the 3200 block of Belair Road between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. yesterday and stole a welder, welding pack and several air conditioners, all valued at $1,700.

Armed robbery: An unknown assailant approached a man, 19, about 7: 15 a.m. yesterday in the 800 block of N. Broadway, pulled a handgun from his sleeve and demanded money. The victim had none, and the assailant fled on foot.

Northeastern District

Bank robbery: Three men entered First Union Bank in the 1700 block of E. Northern Parkway about 1: 30 p.m. yesterday and demanded that the tellers open their cash drawers. One man jumped over the counter and removed an undisclosed amount of money. Cash also was taken from a vault.

Car theft: A 1999 white Toyota Tacoma was stolen about 3: 30 a.m. yesterday in the 3500 block of Chesterfield Ave.

Burglary: Someone pushed in a piece of cardboard used to cover a broken window and entered a house in the 1400 block of Northgate Road between 8 a.m. and 11: 30 a.m. yesterday. A Nintendo 64 video game, a Gameboy, videotapes and jewelry -- all valued at $2,150 -- were taken.

Western District

Shooting: A man, 23, was shot about 7: 30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of N. Pulaski St. The victim told police he was walking along the street when two men approached him, one of whom pulled a silver-colored revolver. Witnesses told police they heard someone yell, "Bust him, bust him," before the man was shot in the upper torso. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Shooting: A 15-year-old male was shot shortly before 2: 30 a.m. yesterday in the 2000 block of Harlem Ave. The victim told police he was walking along the street with a friend when a man with a shotgun approached them. The assailant allegedly told the boys to "Kick it out" and the pair ran. The 15-year-old was hit in the back of the head by shotgun pellets. He was in good condition at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Shooting: An 18-year-old man was shot in the upper thigh yesterday in the 2000 block of Penrose Ave. He told police he was walking along the street about 2 a.m. when four men in a small black car approached him. After two of the men demanded money, the man was shot and the group drove away. The victim was in good condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Someone kicked in a rear door and entered a house in the 2400 block of Washington Blvd. between 7: 30 a.m. and 3: 30 p.m. yesterday. A television, caller ID system, tool box and a videocassette recorder -- all valued at $1,460 -- were taken.

Car theft: A 1996 Jeep, Maryland tag ACX57M, was taken from the 4500 block of Mountview Road Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
