Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Robbery/assault: A man riding a 10-speed bicycle stole the purse from a woman's arm as she walked out of an alley in the 200 block of Preston St. about 3: 30 p.m. yesterday. The woman fell and cut her lip. She said the purse contained $2,000.

Eastern District

Robbery/assault: Two assailants punched and kicked a man in the 1600 block of Darley Ave. about 11 a.m. yesterday. They took his wallet, which contained $60.

Western District

Burglary: Someone broke into New Union Baptist Church at 500 N. Monroe St. and stole two computers, a cordless phone and an air conditioner from the office between 3 p.m. Sunday and 7: 30 p.m. yesterday. The items were valued at $2,950.

Burglary: A thief broke a window in a home in the 900 block of N. Arlington Ave. yesterday, entered the dwelling and stole a 19-inch television and $12.

Stolen car: A parked 1999 silver-colored Toyota car was stolen about 8: 45 p.m. yesterday in the 1000 block of Wheeler Ave.

Southern District

Shoplifting/arrest: Police gave a man, 45, a criminal citation after he was accused of stealing 36 bars of Dove soap -- valued at $54 -- about 1: 40 p.m. yesterday at Giant Foods in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave.

Burglary: A man was sitting in his living room in the 4000 block of Fourth St. at 11 a.m. Tuesday when another man came in, took $60 from the victim's wallet and walked out.

Southwestern District

Armed robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of his wallet about 2: 40 a.m. Monday in the 3200 block of W. North Ave. The wallet contained $140.
