Happy birthday, Maryland

Celebrate Maryland's 366th birthday Sunday at a show of pageantry, ceremonies and living history in the state's first capital, Historic St. Mary's City, which is also an outdoor museum. Fourth-grade students from Baltimore City and every county in Maryland will participate in the Ceremony of Flags. St. Maries Citty Militia, a Colonial military re-enactment group, will also perform.

Hours for the Maryland birthday celebration are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Historic St. Mary's City is on Route 5, St. Mary's County. Admission is free. $3 parking fee. Call 800-SMC-1634.
