Anne Arundel Medical Center added to Kaiser network plan

Anne Arundel Medical Center was added to the Kaiser Permanente network plan in an agreement signed Thursday with Anne Arundel Health System Inc. Kaiser members in the county will continue to be served by physicians at its facility in Severna Park and by AAMC physicians in the affiliated network.

Kaiser members are covered for treatment at Anne Arundel Diagnostics and Pathways Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center, which are Anne Arundel Health System affiliates.

"This agreement will significantly expand hospital choices for Kaiser Permanente members who live in this region," said Martin L. Doordan, president and chief executive of AAHS.

Chesapeake Marine Tours to operate under new name

Chesapeake Marine Tours and Charters of Annapolis recently announced that it will operate under the trade name Watermark Cruises.

"This is an opportunity to market our operation more effectively," says Debbie Gosselin, chief executive of the passenger vessel company, founded in Annapolis in 1972.

The company operates the Harbor Queen, water taxis, tour boats and luxury charter vessels, and offers environmental education programs.
