Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Arrest: A 38-year-old man was arrested at 3 p.m. yesterday outside the Giant Food store at 2159 W. Patapsco Ave., after store security officers accused him of stealing merchandise, including three bottles of deodorant, valued at $23.44.

Western District

Rape: A 33-year-old woman was in the 800 block of N. Gilmor St. at 9: 30 p.m. Saturday when she met a man, about 40, who said he would take her to a party. Instead, she was taken into an alley and raped. She was treated at Mercy Medical Center and released.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Arrest: A 31-year-old Dundalk woman was arrested at Golden Ring Mall at 1: 30 p.m. yesterday after being accused of stealing a boom box valued at $79.99.

Garrison Precinct

Theft: Someone entered Tom Mitchell's Golf Gridiron, 301 Mitchell Drive in Reisterstown, Friday night or early Saturday and took two golf carts from a secured area. The carts, valued at $1,000 each, were found elsewhere on the property, with damage estimated at $300.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry valued at $3,000 was stolen during the weekend by someone who entered a house in the 9300 block of Dogwood Road after removing glass from a rear door. A similar incident an hour later in the 8200 block of Dogwood Road was thwarted by a family dog.

Wilkens Precinct

Armed robbery: Two males ages 18 to 21, one displaying a small-caliber revolver, robbed two people of credit cards and personal property at 7: 50 p.m. Saturday as they carried groceries into a home in the 300 block of Cedar Run Place in Catonsville. Two shots were fired at a door. No one was injured.
