Offices for rent will be available by summer at BWI
By early summer, business travelers will be able to rent private offices at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Laptop Lane, a high-tech office space and service provider to airports nationwide, has an agreement to lease two locations at BWI. Laptop Lane provides 40-square-foot private workstations in airport terminals. Offices have 7-foot-high walls with doors that lock. Services in the offices include power and modem connections, a Pentium PC, faxing, e-mail, video e-mail, digital photo, color copies, black-and-white copies, document scanning, paper shredding, overnight packaging and shipping, and travel agency ticket delivery. Products available for purchase include laptop PC peripherals, digital cameras, software, phone cords, data cables, several types of computer disks, international plug adapters, palmtop computers, prepaid phone cards and office supplies. "The Laptop Lane facilities will enhance BWI's growing reputation as the airport where it is easy to do business when traveling," Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend said.
