Don't expect Dunbar's Lakesha Wills to stop smiling soon.

A week after helping the Poets to the state 2A championship, Wills guided the Baltimore City All-Stars to a 74-58 victory over the Baltimore County All-Stars last night at Essex Community College.

Wills, a 5-foot-11 center, led the City team with 16 points and had four rebounds. Joy Gorham (Western) added 12 points and four rebounds. Mandy Clark of Milford Mill, the City/County Player of the Year, had a game-high 20 points for the Baltimore County All-Stars.

Wills sparked a third-quarter run that gave the Baltimore City All-Stars command of the annual contest. With City holding a 44-41 advantage, Willis had five points and one assist during a 9-0 run, extending the lead to 53-41.

The City All-Stars received 10 points each from Latrice Gilbert (Northwestern) and Stephanie Tolbert (Western). Dulaney's Valerie Anderson had nine points and nine rebounds for Baltimore County; LaRhonda Garrett of Dundalk had a game-high 11 rebounds.

The City All-Stars enjoyed a 23-11 first-quarter advantage as Wills scored seven points and Gilbert (Northwestern) had six.

After a basket by Gorham presented the City All-Stars with their largest lead of the half at 31-16, Baltimore County responded with a 13-0 run, the final five coming from Clark, closing the margin to 31-29 at the half.

COUNTY--Smith 4, Clark 20, Schmeller 9, Garrett 4, Curmoles 1, Paige 1, Anderson 9, Cook 2, Keller 2, Lowman 6. Totals 22 9-18 58.

Half--City, 31-29.
