Bucknell pounds 0-5 Mount, 11-1

Alex Gibson, Keith Poisella and Chris Cutillo each scored two goals to help Bucknell cruise to an 11-1 victory over Mount St. Mary's in a men's lacrosse game yesterday in Emmitsburg.

The Mountaineers have lost five in a row to start the season. The Bison improved to 2-2.

Mount sophomore Tom Dryer made his first career start and played all 60 minutes in goal, making 17 saves.

Women

Western Maryland 14, Oneonta State 4: Senior Meaghan Giorno, the third-leading scorer in Division III last season, had six goals and three assists as Western Maryland (1-1) scored on five straight shots to cruise to a nonconference victory over the New York school in Panama City, Fla.

The victory was Mindy Manolovich's first as Green Terror coach.
