Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Robbery: Armed with a .38-caliber handgun, a male passenger robbed an unlicensed taxi driver about 3 a.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Woodbine Ave. The robber took a wallet, cash, a cellular phone and keys, all valued at more than $125.

Burglary: Someone entered Shearith Israel Congregation synagogue in the 5800 block of Park Heights Ave. overnight Saturday and set off a fire extinguisher. No property was reported missing.

Burglary: Tools valued at more than $1,000 were stolen Sunday from a house in the 2500 block of Taney Road.

Eastern District

Robbery: A man, 29, sold another man a dirt bike for $800 in the 2400 block of E. North Ave. about 7 p.m. Saturday. As the seller and his girlfriend walked to a vehicle, two men -- one armed with a large-caliber handgun -- assaulted him and took the money.

Robbery: A man, 38, was in the 300 block of E. 20th St. about 4 a.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed him of a shopping bag that contained a new pair of boots.

Central District

Theft/arrest: Officer Donald Kincaid was in the 100 block of Concord St. on Sunday when he heard the alarm on a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta. He went to investigate and saw a man standing nearby. Pieces of glass from the car's broken window had become embedded in the man's clothing. Nearby, Kincaid recovered a compact disc player and a compact disc that were allegedly stolen from the car. Leo Fickling, 49, of the 100 block of N. Monastery Ave. was charged with theft.

Theft: A laptop computer valued at $8,000 was stolen Sunday from a 2000 Ford parked in the 100 block of S. Charles St.

Robbery: A woman, 36, was in the 1700 block of McCulloh St. about 6 p.m. Sunday when another woman assaulted her and robbed her of clothing valued at more than $100 and a shopping bag containing $12 worth of groceries.

Robbery: A man assaulted a woman, 41, and robbed her of $10 Sunday in the 1200 block of McCulloh St. Moments later, police arrested a man who fit the description of the suspect. Antwoine Bowman, 31, of the 1700 block of E. Madison St. was charged with unarmed robbery.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone, books and a compact disc player were stolen Sunday from a 1997 Jeep parked in the 500 block of Water St.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

School burglary: A custodian at Stemmers Run Middle School in the 200 block of Stemmers Run Road heard noises on the roof about 10 p.m. Sunday. He saw two males in a hallway. The males fled. No property was reported missing, and no arrests were made.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Six handguns, all valued at nearly $3,000, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 8000 block of Long Point Road. The owner told police the guns -- three 9-mm Berettas, a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson, a .357-caliber Magnum Ruger and a .22-caliber Beretta -- were kept locked in a cabinet.

Towson Precinct

Burglary/arrest: A man, 23, was arrested early Sunday and charged with entering the bedroom of a house in the 1800 block of Yakona Road and stealing nearly $300. The man, a resident of Rock Oak Road and a friend of the occupant, also was charged with theft and destruction of property.
