Anne Arundel County police seek help in their search for the attacker in the rape of a West River doctor's office employee in January.

Police have no suspects in the Jan. 11 attack, in which the woman was strangled to the point of unconsciousness and raped in the parking lot of an Owensville Road office after work.

The victim, who is not being identified, was putting something in her car trunk as she prepared to go home when the attacker ran toward her, grabbed her throat and choked her until she passed out, said Anne Arundel police Sgt. Pam Davis.

While the woman was unconscious, the man raped her and fled the area.

It's unclear whether he was on foot or in a vehicle, Davis said.

The rapist wore a dark ski mask and dark clothing, so the victim could not describe his complexion or hair color.

Police believe he is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a medium build.

Police ask anyone with information to call detectives at 410-222-3470 or Metro Crime Stoppers, for a possible reward, at 410-276-8888.
