Roads to close for funeral procession

March 13, 2000

Motorists who use U.S. 40 to drive into Baltimore are being urged to find an alternate route this morning because the funeral for Baltimore police Officer Jamie A. Roussey will result in several road closures.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Baltimore National Pike will be closed from St. Agnes Lane to Coleridge Road in Catonsville. That portion of the road -- east of Westview Shopping Center -- will be used as a staging area for mourners attending a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. today at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, U.S. 40 at St. Agnes Lane.

After the Mass, the funeral procession will travel west on Baltimore National Pike, north on Interstate 695 to Interstate 83 and then onto Padonia Road, York Road and into Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.

Police will close the highways, including exit and entrance ramps, as the procession passes.
