CND routs Hood, 21-5, to end skid

Erin Sturgis had five goals and two assists as College of Notre Dame broke a three-game losing streak with a 21-5 victory over host Hood in a women's lacrosse game yesterday.

Stacey Schaub added four goals and two assists for the Gators (1-3).

Salisbury State 26, St. Mary's 5: The Sea Gulls (2-0, 1-0) got a combined 13 goals from Jen Ice (Catonsville) and Amanda Moculski (C. M. Wright) to beat the host Seahawks (2-2, 0-1) in a Capital Athletic Conference game.

Kathy Holmes led St. Mary's with two goals.

Howard 13, Villa Julie 12: Marguerite Lanaux scored eight goals and the Bison (3-1) held the Mustangs (2-2) scoreless for the last 11 minutes and scored five goals to rally to the win.

Men

Monroe CC 17, CCBC-Catonsville 14: Tommy Maier and Justin Wahl each scored five goals to power the Tribunes past the host Cardinals.

Matt McGeehan led Catonsville with four goals.
