Home Co., a Dallas-based furniture store, opens today at Prime Outlets at Hagerstown, which will open another 20 stores next month.

The outlet center, owned by Prime Retail of Baltimore, announced the names of the other new tenants yesterday.

They are: Banana Republic, Beauty Express, Camp Coleman, Clothestime, Designer Fragrances and Cosmetics, Etienne Aigner, Geoffrey Beene, Guess?, L.L. Bean, Le Gourmet Chef, Liz Claiborne, Maidenform, Mikasa, National Wildlife Federation, Naturalizer, Oneida, SAS Factory Stores, Time Factory, Wilson's Leather Outlet and Woolrich.

The 66,000-square-foot Home Co. store is the retailer's second and its first on the East Coast. Home Co.'s other store is at Prime Outlets in San Marcos, Texas.

Home Co. sells furniture and accessories for 30 percent to 70 percent less than traditional retail prices, the retailer said. This is the third expansion for the outlet center, which opened in August 1998. The 157,000-square- foot expansion brings the center's total space to 485,304 square feet.

"It's been a lot of growth in a very short time," said Alice Rosen, district marketing director for the outlet center.

The Hagerstown outlet center has been one of Prime Retail's best-performing centers, Rosen said.
