Bob's BMW recognized for merchandising efforts

Bob Henig has received recognition for his innovative merchandising and display techniques for Bob's BMW in Jessup.

Dealernews magazine named Henig's dealership in its Top 100 contest. The largest BMW dealer outside California, Bob's BMW has been in business for almost 20 years and is ranked third in new BMW motorcycle sales nationally.

Amerix names Norton senior vice president

Matt Norton, formerly of First USA Bank in Austin, Texas, has been named senior vice president, operations control and policy for Columbia-based Amerix Corp.

Norton will manage strategic planning and call routing for Amerix's call centers, which handle more than 2 million calls annually.

Three vice presidents -- all formerly of First USA Bank in Austin, Texas -- have joined Norton's team.

Elkridge resident Mark Rozman will oversee work force management.

Ellicott City resident Orlando Herrera will oversee operations and reporting.

Anthony Cimo will oversee strategy routing.

Amerix, a service provider to the credit counseling industry, employs nearly 1,200 people in Columbia.

Thompkins to manage operations for URTA

Darryl S. Thompkins has joined the staff of Urban Rural Transportation Alliance as operations manager.

URTA is a Howard County service organization providing transportation for senior citizens, people with disabilities and low-income residents.

Erickson Retirement group taps McCormick, Doherty

Carol Ann McCormick of Ellicott City has been named director of health care sales and marketing at Erickson Retirement Communities in Baltimore.

Gerald Doherty of Columbia has been promoted from counsel to senior director and associate general in the company's legal department.
