Randallstown man charged in 2 shootings

Baltimore County police charged a 26-year-old Randallstown man yesterday in two shootings, one of them fatal.

Maurice Marquel Dickens of the 3900 block of Tiverton Road turned himself in at the Towson Precinct late Thursday night. He has been charged with attempted murder and first-degree murder, police said.

Dickens was wanted in connection with a June 5 shooting in the parking lot of the Corinthian Lounge in the 7100 block of Windsor Mill Road. Police allege that Dickens shot another man over a traffic dispute. The victim was paralyzed from the waist down.

Three months later, police were called to East Joppa Road and Perring Parkway, where witnesses said they saw something being pushed out of a car at the intersection. Police found the body of Richard James Coleman, 26, of Baltimore, who had been shot once in the head.

Dickens waived his right to a bail review and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information call 410-887-2198.
