Man, 73, with Alzheimer's found dead in South River

EDGEWATER -- A 73-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease was found dead in the South River yesterday, hours after he left his Edgewater home for his usual morning walk, police reported.

The victim, Lawrence Bonari, who apparently drowned, was found near the river's edge by relatives and Anne Arundel police officers whose search effort had included use of a helicopter. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
