The Bureau of the Census is giving tests for potential census takers, crew leaders and office clerks for the 2000 Census weekdays and some Saturdays around the county.
The bureau needs people to help ensure everyone is counted in the 2000 Census in Carroll County.
Census workers work in their communities, set their own hours and can be reimbursed for authorized expenses. All positions are paid competitive wages.
Although making an appointment to take the test is suggested, walk-ins are welcome. Test-takers should provide two forms of identification.
Tests are given as follows:
At 2 p.m. every Monday this month at Maryland Job Service, 125 Airport Drive, Westminster.
At 6: 30 p.m. every Monday this month at Eldersburg branch library, 6400 W. Hemlock Drive.
At 9 a.m. every Tuesday this month at the Department of Social Services, 10 Distillery Drive, Westminster.
At 5 p.m. every Tuesday this month and 9 a.m. every Thursday this month at Business and Employment Resource Center, 224 N. Center St., Westminster.
At 10 a.m. Tuesday and March 14 and 21 at Union Bridge Town Hall, 104 W. Locust St.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday and March 14 and 21 at Mount Airy branch library, 705 Ridge Ave.
At 10 a.m. Wednesdays this month at Manchester Town Hall, 3208 York St.
At 6 p.m. Wednesdays this month at South Carroll Senior Center, 5745 Bartholow Road, Eldersburg.
At 10 a.m. Fridays this month at Sandy Mount United Methodist Church, 2101 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg.
At 10 a.m. today, 6 p.m. March 9, 2 p.m. March 14, 10 a.m. March 25, and 2 p.m. March 29 at Taneytown branch library, 10 Grand Drive.
At 1 p.m. today, 2 p.m. March 9 and 2 p.m. March 24 at Hampstead Town Hall, 1034 S. Carroll St.
At 6 p.m. tomorrow,10 a.m. March 11, 2 p.m. March 17 and 2 p.m. March 28 at the North Carroll branch library, 2255 Hanover Pike.
