A 50-year-old Pasadena man died late Friday night from injuries suffered in a four-vehicle accident that afternoon on U.S. 1 at Old Washington Road in Elkridge.

Brian Daly of the 200 block of Magnolia Ave. was riding a 1998 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on U.S. 1 when he was hit by a Nissan Maxima that was bumped into oncoming traffic, according to police. Daly, who was taken by helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, died at 11: 30 p.m.

The driver of the 1990 Nissan, Quandra Foster, 22, of the 1800 block of N. Collington Ave. in Baltimore, was stopped in the left lane of southbound U.S. 1, attempting to make a left turn onto Old Washington Road, police said.

The driver of a 1992 Dodge van, Gregory Rider, 34, of Fourth Avenue in Baltimore, was traveling south on U.S. 1 and struck the Nissan, forcing the car into the northbound lane and the oncoming motorcycle, police said.

A fourth vehicle sustained minor damage in the incident.

Only Daly was seriously injured. The incident is under investigation, police said.
