Baltimore City

Central District

Drug arrests: Six people were arrested at five locations Tuesday and charged with drug violations. Sgt. Kurt Ellinger said the arrests were made by Officers Mark Lunsford and Edward James, both of whom witnessed alleged drug activity. Arrested in the 600 block of Smithson St. were Lynn Blackwell, 34, of the 1000 block of Grantley St. and Rodney Banks, 38, of the 4300 block of Park Heights Ave. Arrested in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. was Tashiba Kane, 25, of the 1200 block of Young Court. Juan Stewart, 20, of the 4900 block of Frederick Ave., was arrested in the 200 block of W. Fayette St. In the 500 block of Baker St., Lee Taner, 37, of the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave. was arrested. Rhonda Butler, 27, of the 2500 block of Linden Ave. was arrested in the 500 block of Laurens St. Officers recovered a quantity of suspected cocaine and marijuana. Those arrested were processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Shootings: Two men in their late teens or early 20s were shot in the legs during an incident at East Lafayette Avenue and St. Paul Street about 4: 45 p.m. yesterday. One man ran a block north to the KFC outlet in the 100 block of E. North Ave., where he collapsed. The second victim was found in his home in the 1700 block of St. Paul St. Police said one of the men might have been the gunman, who accidentally shot himself. Both men were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment of nonlife threatening injuries. Residents of the area reported hearing at least nine gunshots.

Theft: Clothing valued at more than $1,500 was stolen Tuesday from a 1989 Jeep parked in the 500 block of E. Pratt St.

Burglary: An envelope containing $1,200 was stolen from an apartment in the 1300 block of Eutaw St. between Feb. 17 and Monday.

Burglary: Clothing, jewelry and a telephone, all valued at nearly $1,600, were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 800 block of St. Paul St.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A man, 29, was in a house in the 2800 block of Waldorf Ave. about 7: 15 p.m. Tuesday when another man shot him in the right hip and right forearm. The gunman fled. The victim was in serious but stable condition yesterday at Sinai Hospital.

Eastern District

Carjacking: An apparently unarmed man forced a man from his car about 5: 40 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of E. Lanvale St. and drove off in the Hyundai Elite with temporary tags 50021M.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery try: A man who might have been armed with a knife tried to rob a male, 17, about 7 p.m. Tuesday on the parking lot of the Giant Food store at Loch Raven Boulevard and Taylor Avenue. The youth struck the man with a bag of groceries, causing him to flee.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the first block of Queen Tree Court through a second-floor sliding glass door and stole stereo equipment, compact discs and cash, all valued at nearly $1,800. Police said a plastic trash can also reported missing was used to carry away the property.
