Pennsylvania State Police are seeking people who might have information in the killing of a 16-year-old boy who was shot three times and left for dead on a rural York County road in 1981.

Brian Joseph Richardson, formerly of Woodhome Avenue in Baltimore, was shot and killed in April 1981, three days before he was to testify against three accomplices in a Baltimore County burglary ring.

At the time, Pennsylvania State Police were unable to locate witnesses willing to provide information. Recently, police have uncovered new information that Richardson "was killed to stop him from testifying," said Trooper R. Drum. Anyone with information is asked to call Drum at 717-428-1011.
