Two teen-age sisters were reported in good condition yesterday after a car accident near Woodland Beach in Anne Arundel County on Saturday, county police said.

The accident happened about 8: 45 p.m. on Route 2 near Birdsville Road when the northbound Ford Escort in which they were passengers made a left turn into a truck traveling south, Officer John Emrick of the Southern District said. The driver of the car was the sisters' cousin, Stacy Canter, 18, of the 500 block of Eason Drive in Severn.

Melissa Canter, 16, and Jennifer Canter, 14, both of the 600 block of Graham Court in Severn, were transported to Prince George's Hospital Center.

The driver of the truck, Stuart Emory Brasic, 40, of California, Md., refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries.

Stacy Canter was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Parole and released.

Emrick said Canter's turn was "an error in judgment by an inexperienced driver. They turned right into the path of the truck."

Both vehicles were destroyed in the collision, Emrick said.

Everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt, Emrick said.
