Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Kidnapping/robbery: After a woman, 61, withdrew a small sum of cash from an automated teller machine outside First Union bank in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. about 2: 30 p.m. yesterday, a man asked her to drive him to a hospital. She refused and the man drew a knife, forced her into her car and ordered her to drive, said Detective Ned Hatcher of the robbery squad. Hatcher said that during a drive through Southern and Southwest Baltimore, the man bought drugs on various street corners, then ordered the woman to drive into Loudon Park Cemetery in the 3400 block of Frederick Ave., where he took her money, cut her hand, and fled. The woman called police.

Central District

Theft: A computer, a cellular phone and a briefcase, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen Wednesday from a 1999 Chevrolet van parked in the 200 block of W. Saratoga St.

Eastern District

Theft: A compact disc player, a gold ring with a diamond, a leather coat and several compact discs -- all valued at more than $1,400 -- were stolen Wednesday from a 1997 Ford Expedition parked in the 800 block of Forrest St. The vehicle is owned by a correctional officer.

Burglary: After removing a basement window grate, someone entered a house in the 700 block of E. Preston St. and stole nearly $2,000 worth of property. A microwave oven, a vacuum cleaner, a radio, a compact disc player, two 5-gallon cans of paint, a bed liner, tools, two 23-inch-screen television sets, a telephone and an answering machine were stolen.

Northern District

Burglary: A 20-inch-screen television, a videocassette recorder, jewelry, 30 compact discs, cash, a telephone and a stereo receiver, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2700 block of St. Paul St.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: After test-driving a black 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera, a salesman and a male client returned to Len Stoler Ford in the 11200 block of Reisterstown Road about 2 p.m. Wednesday. When the salesman got out of the car and turned to walk to the office, the client got back into the car and drove off. The Porsche, valued at $84,500, has dealer tags 1A79686.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 61, was exiting her car in the 6900 block of Marsue Drive about 10 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman knocked her to the ground and took her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $500.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a woman, 52, of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $70, outside a video store in the 200 block of Reisterstown Road in Pikesville about 8: 15 p.m. Wednesday.
