Senior guard Katie Fitzgerald made five of eight three-point shots and scored 17 points last night as visiting Johns Hopkins pulled away to a 67-58 overtime win against Western Maryland to clinch its sixth straight West Division title in the Centennial Conference.

Hopkins (18-5, 10-2) outscored the Green Terror 13-4 in overtime after blowing a seven-point lead in the final 2: 14 of regulation.

Freshman guard Jen Piccolomini, who hit five of nine three-pointers for Western Maryland (11-11, 7-5), tied it 54-54 on a three with seven seconds left in regulation. She finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Junior forward Jill Ibex had 16 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots for third-place Western Maryland, which remained a game behind Franklin & Marshall in the race for the second and final West Division playoff spot, thanks to F&M's 70-60 loss at last-place Dickinson.

The Green Terror can force a tiebreaker game if it defeats Washington College at home in the season finale Saturday and F&M (12-11, 8-4) falls to visiting Hopkins.

Coppin State 77, Norfolk State 74: Kiesha Brooks had 24 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists and Javonti Jones scored a career-high 18 to lead Coppin State (13-12, 11-5) past host Norfolk State (15-7, 10-3) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Washington College 63, Haverford 52: Kate Bierzonski scored 23 points to power the Shorewomen (9-14, 3-9) past the visiting Fords (8-15, 4-8) in Centennial Conference action.

St. Mary's 75, Goucher 39: Felicia Harris led all players with 19 points as the Seahawks (20-3, 10-3) defeated the Gophers (4-18, 1-12) in a Capital Athletic Conference game in St. Mary's City.

Men

Johns Hopkins 70, Western Maryland 50: The Blue Jays (17-7, 9-3) -- led by Antoine Peoples with 12 and Matthew Eisley with 10 -- led by at least 18 throughout the second half to win their sixth straight, defeating the Green Terror (4-19, 1-11) in Centennial Conference action.

St. Mary's 70, Goucher 68: Desmond Mackall scored 20 points to power the Seahawks (12-11, 6-7) past the visiting Gophers (10-12, 5-8) in Capital Athletic Conference action.

Washington College 67, Haverford 57: Aaron Goode scored 11 to power the Shoremen (11-12, 7-5) past the visiting Fords (3-20, 1-11).
