Ninth-ranked Archbishop Spalding (16-10) gained its second split with a Baltimore Catholic League opponent last night in Severn by routing No. 8 Calvert Hall, 73-55.

All-Metro point guard Derrick Snowden led a spirited and up-tempo team that jumped out 6-0 for openers. With the Hall comitting eight of their 22 turnovers, it was 20-6 Spalding after the first eight minutes.

By halftime, the Cavs had still had a 14-point (33-19) bulge.
