Expos: Agreed to $825,000, 1-year contract with 2B Wilton Guerrero (.292, 2 HRs, 31 RBIs), avoiding arbitration.

Mariners: Agreed to $2,225,000, 1-year contract with OF Mike Cameron (.256, 21 HRs, 66 RBIs with Reds), avoiding arbitration.

Marlins: Signed IF Amaury Garcia, P Armando Almanza, P A. J. Burnett, P Jared Camp, P Joe Fontenot and P Nelson Lara to 1-year contracts.

Rangers: Agreed to 1-year contracts with P Jonathan Johnson and IF Scott Sheldon. Named Les Parker scout.

Reds: Agreed to $862,500, 1-year contract with former Orioles OF Alex Ochoa (.300, 8 HRs, 40 RBIs in 119 games with Brewers), avoiding arbitration.

Red Sox: Agreed to $2.8 million, 2-year contract with P Bryce Florie (4-1, 4.65 ERA in 36 games for Tigers and Red Sox), avoiding arbitration.

Predators: Acquired LW Eric Bertrand from Flyers for future considerations; assigned him to IHL Milwaukee.
